MANAGE AI EARLY

AI adoption is moving faster than most organizations can govern it.

Employees are already discovering ways to use AI to write, analyze, summarize, automate and solve problems. The objective should not be to stop that innovation. It should be to understand it, guide it and establish sensible controls before unmanaged AI use becomes embedded throughout the business.

AI Governance

Acceptable use • Roles and accountability • Approved tools • Data classification • Policy development • Risk-based decision making

AI Security

Identity and access • Application security • Integrations • Model and service risk • Monitoring • Secure configuration

Productive Adoption

Use-case discovery • Workflow improvement • Human oversight • Practical controls • Training • Responsible experimentation

Private & Controlled AI

Private AI options • Local models • Secure RAG • Organizational knowledge • Controlled access • Reduced unnecessary data exposure

DATA LOSS PREVENTION

Your data may be the most valuable thing you give an AI system.

AI creates extraordinary opportunities, but it also creates new paths for sensitive information to leave an organization. Prompts, uploaded documents, source code, customer information, financial data, credentials, internal strategy and intellectual property can all become part of an AI workflow. Data Loss Prevention must therefore be a central part of AI adoption—not an afterthought.

  • Identify sensitive information entering AI workflows
  • Define what data may and may not be shared with AI services
  • Review approved and unapproved AI applications
  • Protect intellectual property and confidential business information
  • Apply identity, access and least-privilege principles
  • Evaluate DLP and monitoring capabilities
  • Establish practical AI acceptable-use policies
  • Reduce shadow-AI risk without suppressing innovation
  • Consider private, local and enterprise AI alternatives
  • Build training around real employee use cases
The goal is not less AI. The goal is more useful AI—with deliberate control over what the organization is willing to expose.

A PRACTICAL AI PROGRAM

Understand it. Govern it. Secure it. Use it.

An effective AI program begins by learning how AI is already being used, what employees want it to accomplish and what information those workflows touch. From there, an organization can make informed decisions instead of reacting after problems appear.

Where is AI already being used? What business value is it creating? What data is being shared? What controls are appropriate?

Extraordinary technologies require extraordinary diligence.
